RAR files - HTTP Error 500 on osx PMS v1.90.1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open RAR'ed file on PS3 (multiple rar files: x.rar, x.r00, x.r01, ... )
2. select movie file in archive for playback 
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected) playback of media file
result) HTTP Error (500)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
PMS v1.90.1
OS X 10.7.5

Recieving error on windows 8.1 as well
