Huddle enhancement seems to be limited to whatever the company has developed out of the box.
It has targeted the government market with its offering and counts In-Q-Tel as an investor, so maybe it has managed to hit more of DOS's user needs out of the box.
The API is documented on a github wiki and doesn't have many watching it.

The most effective way to work across teams, and with clients and partners"
I'm not entirely sure what Huddle is. It is listed on the FedRAMP site and some of the features (Collaborative editing, version control, Microsoft Office integration, etc.) sound relevant. The site seems short on details with a strong push for requesting a demo.
