Everbridge demo - March 20, 2019 at Everbridge's office (Tyson's Corner, VA)
Pros
Maps can be annotated and exported
"Automatic checklists seem like they could be helpful and could reduce the work Ops does now manually to manage and administer specific tasks related to certain crises or events
Represents an opportunity to automate Ops processes that are currently highly manual
Mobile ready and robust texting capabilities
24/7/365 support
Cons
The Crisis Management virtual command center is a brand new product - it's been beta tested by two federal agencies (one of them is GSA) so there's some risk with being an early adopter.
Meta data doesn't stay with exported files, such as annotated maps
Not clear if outside data sources could be imported and displayed within the virtual command center portal
Meta data can't be changed - once the meta data is applied, it can't be changed. You can only apply meta data from one category (such as country) but you couldn't also apply meta data from another category (such as functional area like natural disaster).
