animate attractor through field

rhuberga commented 8 years ago

Note to self for clarification: Burst of particles for big impact when hitting boost pad. Probably add a bit of camera shake and rgb split to give it some real impact Vector field and attractor for more appealing / dynamic motion of particles..

Sounds awesome

Jamie suggested attaching boost particle to car and having it fire from car whenever boost is activated, this would make it automatically inherit forward vector and all that jazz. Do this.

Ok so they are not pad based?

Still pad based, just tried spawning them from the pad, and I think spawning them out of the car will get better results with more control / work around some tedious problems involving the direction they need to face.

Glossing over for now, need to get as much passable stuff working as I can and finish the big models / materials before the semester ends.

Actually, the car travels past the bounds of the emitter and the effect disappears if I keep it attached to the pad so really, attaching it to the car is the only way to do it.
