Showcase "modern vintage" more immediately #7

It's a hard thing to balance, the visual indications that this is a vintage thing but that it's also definitely not. Some type of fade effect or perhaps something even sooner (so that way someone has more reason to scroll? Idk) gets that message across.

In addition to being "sooner" I think the modern/vintage paradox should be showcased passively. As it is now, the user is responsible for hovering over images to experience the effect. We should remove that responsibility from the user.
