Expected behavior Video should be playing without any artifacts or any other quirks.

Device specs

Additional context This was not an issue when running the game on my old samsung phone so i think the issue may be specific to this make of phone.

I've never seen this happen before, and after looking up the phone's model it has a Dimensity 7030 for an SoC.

While I wouldn't jump straight to conclusions, MediaTek has historically developed horrible media accelerators (or how the chip processes videos), and I wouldn't put it past them to be the main cause. I don't think it is though.

This is odd, does this happen on every chart with a video?

yeah i haven't found a chart without this issue, if you turn off background videos the image that is there instead will display fine so it is specifically an issue with background videos.

That's weird, is there a way to record a video of the game running?

It's preferable if you can run something called scrcpy and connect your phone to a computer to record it from there, as it has lower performance impact, but if your phone can record itself just fine then you can do that too. Mine can't, even though it's a decently new and powerful chipset, but you never know.

Alright, can you do one thing for me? If you don't have it already, download VLC and try to play the video file in question. See if it looks good or not.

I wonder if it is an engine issue then. If so, it is currently unfixable by us and it has to come down to the engine developers (Unity) to amend this issue. I'll notify the lead developer to see what he can do.

I agree... Seems like Unity f'ed this up, but I cannot reproduce this behavior in Unity Editor Could you please attach the fumen files (especially video file) in zip thus we could have a better look about what might goes wrong?

detect-henlo commented 3 months ago

sure, but what are these fumen files and where are they located? never heard of it before so i'm not sure what you're looking for
