Client won't load

I've followed the instructions from the readme file, but when using the provided client/stock nex0n client, nothing happens when trying to launch the game.

When using Hendi's client, the game loads in the specified resolution, but instantly crashes before displaying the login screen with error code -2147287038.

Additional notes:

• My server is hosted on a Mac computer, and I'm running the client from a windows VM. Everything works with a regular client without the mod.
• Also tried Ezorsia v1, getting a blank screen whenever launching the game with that. I checked and I have all the required dependencies.
• I refer the client to a different address than 127.0.0.1. The address used is within the same LAN as the VM launching the game. And ofc I've specified the address in the config file.

+1, I think this is due to my screen not supporting 800x600 and for some reason even tho the config.ini is set to 1280x720 it still need to be supported
