[Feature idea] Option to make Linkbar only as wide as the icons and not stretch across the whole screen.

When a Linkbar is added by the user, this Linkbar stretches across the whole width or height of the screen, even if there are only a few icons in the Linkbar. This results in quite a lot of unused space next to the icons in the Linkbar.

It would be great if there was an option in the Linkbar preferences to reduce the Linkbar to the width of the icons inserted in the Linkbar (see screenshot with a mockup).

I logged in just to bump up ghost's suggestion.

Coupled to this, as a further enhancement that immediately comes to mind -- I believe it'd broaden Linkbar's user appeal a great deal -- would be if it could also be turned into a simple user configurable toolbar...

For very outdated examples of such functionality, please look at now abandoned Appetizer, Launchbar Commander, or long gone Fast Launcher (shown in the screen capture below)...
