ARM binaries for Linux machines

Hello,

I am trying to run the mgmt-tool, certificate generator and ah-installer on my raspberry pi 3B+ running Raspbian. However, I can't run the AppImages as they seem to be compiled for x86 architecture.

Would it be possible for you to upload the binaries compiled for an ARM architecture?

Hi Manuel,

In the short run we have no resources unfortunately to fulfill your request. In the long run we probably could manage it.

But please note, that for runing arrowhead components on a RasPi (or any device), there is no need to have the certificate generator and the management tool on the same device.

• With the certificate generator you just generates certificate files on your personal computer and copy them into the RasPi.
• With the management tool you you can interact with the arrowhead components regardless the device they are running on. So you can use the management tool also on your personal computer.

For installing the arrowhead components on RasPi we recommend to use this method instead of the installer tool.

If any support is needed for these tasks, you can join to the arrowhead-dev slack community, where we can discuss your actual issues in details. Should I send you an invitation?

This information is really helpful! For the certificate generator I figured that it might not be necessary to run it on the RasPi, but it is good to know that the management tool can also run on a different machine. For future setups I will follow the recommended method. :) Then the ARM binary won't be necessary for now.
