[Bug]: Launching Alchemy makes makes Surround Sound output crash #150

Environment

Alchemy Beta 7.1.9.2501 (64bit) Surround Sound v1.1.85

Description

The output of Surround Sound 7.1 app (from Razer headphones) started crashing upon launching Alchemy unless the music or any sort of sound is already playing through it. The Surround Sound app itself keeps running. When I launch Alchemy the output stops working on any other programs too, causing errors if you try to play videos or sounds. Changing to any other output device, then restarting Surround Sound and changing back to SS output fixes the issue on other programs, but not in Alchemy - All output devices keep silent until the next successful restart and log-in. The error can be prevented if there's any other sound coming through SS output already upon Alchemy launch.

Reproduction steps

  1. Have Surround Sound 7.1 set as the default output device in the system.
  2. Launch Alchemy while there's no sound playing through this output (Expected: normal launch. Actual: the output/driver breaks)
  3. Log-into alchemy. and go to audio output settings (Expected: Being able to change to other working outputs. Actual: Alchemy's sound is absent no matter what output is chosen).
