thorium wont let me put it as default browser when downloade from zip #800

System Details

OS: Cachyos (arch linux based)
126.0.6478.231

Problem hi when i try setting thorium as default browser when downloaded from zip it will do nothing

Additional Notes I assume its a portable problem bcs i kinda hate how thorium does not have a offical build for arch and other alex313031 projects(codium,mercury,etc) running xdg-settings set default-web-browser thorium.desktop worked but the button inside of throium is still broken and that method i did is also quite broken also i dont rlly care abt this issue just wanted to bring this up

@Totallynotmwa This is by design. Why would you want to run your default browser from a portable .zip instead of installing it?

ohhh i thought it was a bug bcs there is no arch package and most of the unoffical aur packages dont provide "Avx2" my cpu (i3 12100f) supports it nvm the aur repo provided avx2 (I had to do it myself) but closing since you said its by design
