From Dad: it is important that the scene as a whole is reasonably interesting to look at as well as (maybe) clean.

Try putting some plants or something in the background to it does not look like you live in a dungeon.

Background: I'm good with a non-slick processed studio environment. And I wonder what that golf-green carpet is doing on your chair. But I admit that it did feel a bit "untidy".
