Request for adding Compass and Sensor support to the framewoek

This is an enhancement request (Could not find a way to select it other than 
defect)

I am planning an application that needs to have the magnetic orientation and 
the tilt of the phone / tablet. At the moment you need to do this through the 
native interfaces, but it is a pain to do this for all platforms.

Its OK, we classify the RFE after submission.

This feature isn't currently on the high priority list. Do you already have a 
native implementation of these API's?

At the moment the application is in the planning stage, I have a native 
implementation as a POC for android, it is a non trivial task though and I had 
some issues to stabilize it. I would very much like to have "one code" solution 
for interfacing with the movement / compass sensors as this would add great 
value to my solution. I am of course happy to do testing for a solution.

I suggest you bring it up on the discussion forum. People ask for this, but 
since we don't have experience with these API's either its not something we can 
easily pick up. But someone on the list might want to collaborate on this.

I can contribute to this one, but it'll be a few weeks minimum before I can 
look at it.  The BB port will depend on issue 517.  The J2ME port will require 
JSR-256 support.
