Chats not moving to top of list after new messages from user

Frequency of occurrence: Constant
Expected behavior: After user enters new message into a chat, said chat is meant to move to the top of the list for ease of access and convenience
Actual behavior: Chats often do not move to top of list — and when they do, any app restart causes them to return from top to previous position in list. Additionally, chat previews revert to first user message sent, rather than most recent.

Additional Information: I’ve been having this issue for a while, and I’m not sure what the cause is, though I suspect it might be something to do with the preview not fetching new data from the chat? Either way, quite annoying, especially in concert with the bug that prevents all chats from loading at once — resuming older conversations is extremely inconvenient with things as they are. Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or is it purely on my end? I haven't seen any other posts about it, and it does seem the sort of thing you'd notice, but I can't imagine where the issue might be if it is the latter.
