There are lost of xxx2earn bs in the market, little make enough sense in the business/revenue side, but I think "travel 2 earn" makes a lot of sense.
Some basic principles in my thoughts related to "xxx 2 earn":
"XXX to earn" will only be sustainably when enough users willing to "Pay to XXX".
blockchain/crypto/tokens/web3 will NOT magically turn something from 0 or low value into a lot of value. It will never happen, most of fake projects use this to trick people.
Different "XXX to earn" quick analysis:
"Create to earn"
"create to earn" is possible only when people really need what have been created. So content maker could make money only if enough people like their content.
steem is "write to earn", blogging is really hard to make money (the web 2.0 blog era, today's medium, substack, BAT/Braven etc.) it won't make money just by introduce blockchain
"play to earn" only make sense for professional players, and it build upon a lot more people "pay to play". So a shitty game won't be able to support "play 2 earn", a great game with lots of people willing to "pay to play" will enable some "play to earn"
using complex token structure is just Ponzi scam
This space could be huge, but the gaming space is already huge. You just need to make amazing games, and have "play 2 earn" capability isn't the key to success
"run to earn" will not work, because "run" it self won't create value, and for most of the people keep running is against human nature. So it will definitely most of people join this only motivated by making quick money, rather than run itself.
those NFT shoes are pointless, purely designed for making money from the people, doesn't provide any real value.
"learn to earn" will not work either. Because "learn" is against human nature, also because "teach" is a very high skillful work, can't be created by random people.

Travel industry is huge, a lot of money flow around
People are spending a lot of money for travel all the time
Travel is human nature and will not go away, people are motivated to do it whenever possible
Travel doesn't require a lot of skills (compare to "create to earn" and "play to earn") and is very diversified.
