Best place for NXL2 games? #5

People keep asking... IMHO Yahoo Japan.

Example: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m425881743 ネシカ2 タイトー TYPE X3 NESiCAxLive2 基板(HDD、ドングル付属)

ArcadeHustle commented 3 years ago

Alternately... buy them from eBay, and move the games onto your multi.

Any advise on how to move the games from an NxL2 drive to the Multi?

I got one from Japan and hotswapped the drive for access and downloaded the games from the drive. But it looks like part of the games are in tdeg.images??? I don't really know for sure but that's my guess. I tried to flash one of the tdeg images to a fresh drive but it is locked 😂

thedevient commented 3 years ago

I was tempted to get one of those drives as I know where I could get one but from what I gather it’s not as simple as just transferring the data and the drives only work when linked to the servers, so would be interested to know if you find out how to do it.

ArcadeHustle commented 3 years ago

NXL2 is protected by bit locker keys... you'll have to retrieve them somehow. That is beyond the scope of the conversation.

MagusIncognito commented 3 years ago

Surprised I didn't notice this earlier; but on drive D, there are save files for some earlier NxL2 games.

ArcadeHustle commented 3 years ago

@MagusIncognito someone is VERY observant! Just file that under "Fake News" ;)

thedevient commented 3 years ago

I’ve been checking my drive image and been all through drive d but can’t find anything on there relating to nxl2, had my hopes up for a minute lol.

ArcadeHustle commented 3 years ago

Perhaps you folks should go about this a bit differently... start with an NXL2 dump that is publicly available. Go from there.

ArcadeHustle commented 3 years ago

Samurai_Spirits_2019.7z isn't that damn hard to find.

ArcadeHustle commented 3 years ago

Teknoparrot hands them out for Christ sake lol. http://teknoparrot.link.free.fr/multi/Samurai%20Spirits%202019.html

ArcadeHustle commented 3 years ago

Or SFV... http://teknoparrot.link.free.fr/multi/Street%20Fighter%20V%20Type%20Arcade.html really guys not that hard to find them. ;)

thedevient commented 3 years ago

I’ve got both those already downloaded, just been laid in bed the last 3 weeks as sciatica’s got the best of me so can’t get on machine at minute, I did notice on the downloads that they did have the artwork ready for putting on the menu, but when I ask on emuline if sfv would work on original hardware nobody had any idea.

ArcadeHustle commented 3 years ago

@thedevient only one way to find out! =]

thedevient commented 3 years ago

Yeah I will when I can.

My Original NxL2 Drive has the following folders and games:

303203 = USF4 310100 = Million Arthur Arcana Blood 310200 = KOFIV 310300 = Blazblue Central Fiction 310500 = SNK Heroines TTF 310700 = Fighting EX Layer

Drive D on the TTX3Multi has the following folders:

3032 = USF4 3101 = Million Arthur Arcana Blood 3102 = KOFIV 3103 = Blazblue Central Fiction

MagusIncognito commented 3 years ago

Another interesting thing to point out, is that all the NxL2 saves on Drive D are in their own individual folders and are not loosely placed on the D drive.

This tells me that the final/private version is already it setup to save the game files in their own, individual game folders; similar to the work GamingMackie did in one of the other open discussions here ;)

MagusIncognito commented 3 years ago

I could be wrong, but I don't think we will be able to get any NxL2 games running until we get Fast I/O up and running first.

After getting the FIO package and installing on the Yoko.img I have got the following NXL2 games working. These were pretty much straight drop-ins.

As for the others games listed below, I am getting a "fatal error" message when trying load.

Not sure if it is a folder structure issue or something else. Anyone else having these same issues or know a workaround???

Thanks

ArcadeHustle commented 3 years ago

@TypeX3Mod, any ideas for this man?

MagusIncognito commented 3 years ago

I was able to get the following games working, by making a copy of the idmac64.dll found on the C Drive of the YOKO.img and replacing the ones found in the game folders.

(I am using the game files from teknoparrot's website)

Hello,

I use these structure folders :

Fighting EX Layer : This game uses a specific Launch.exe (crc32 C91413FB), it can launch the game from anywhere on the drive. In EXF\Binaries\Win64\ I put iDmacDrv32.dll (76 KB) and both NxL2Core dll. I also replaced NesysService.exe with 316 KB one but it shouldn't prevent the game to boot. This game also need a card reader connected to be launched.

Samurai : This game uses a common NxL2 Launch.exe (crc32 3AA8904D). I renamed Onion.exe (183 KB) as game.exe and put Launch.exe in the same directory. This game does not require a card reader connected to be launched.

SFV : This game uses a specific Launch.exe (crc32 79E4B19B). I added Launch.exe to the directory where NoHDDUnload.dll is, and put IO.exe and iDmacDrv32.dll (76 KB) in WindowsNoEditor\StreetFighterV\Plugins\USBIOPlugin. This game does not require a card reader connected to be launched.

hiya, sorry i've not been about for a while due to a few issues, but now i've had chance to look at this, thank you for the fast io release, i'm still missing the card reader but finally got my fast io cards installed into my namco noir, so far i've managed to get million arthur, and samurai working, snk heroines comes on and goes off again, probably due to no card reader, street fighter v i cant figure, i've read the last post but cant see the files mentioned, i don't know how to tell one launch.exe from another and can't find nohddunload.dll anywhere on the drive, so i'll keep looking, the other games i'm downloading slowly so i'll see how they go once i get them. does anyone else get any graphics glitches when it boots up, it seems to go away if i leave it but it also did it when i booted into arthur.

thedevient commented 3 years ago

does anyone know where to get fighting ex layer? link doesnt work on emuline & i've installed half a dozen google apps on teknoparrot as it asks before downloading and it still doesnt let me download.

Have you tried teknoparrot with NordVPN?

thedevient commented 3 years ago

I’ve got a free version of bitdefender vpn and tried that, took some faffing but it did work thanks, well for the first 200mb and then stopped as it reached its limit, I’ll have to pay for one but there not cheap.
