Live Wallpaper xOffsetStep is not correct on all HTC devices always return -1.0 #366

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1.on all HTC devices i am having problem of xOffsetStep when switching between 
screens. it always return the xOffsetStep as -1.0.

It should vary according to no. of screens.

i am having this problem on all HTC devices specially and some other devices 
too sometimes on samsung S captivate. i am using android 2.2 for development.
