Description

Follow up to does Cardano have any by-construction / for-free mechanism to prevent vampire attack? (to which I answered "no").

Coinmarketbag describes the vampire attack as "a method in DeFi where one protocol offers better rates than another protocol, stealing their customers and investors", which makes it sound like markets/incentives doing what they say they do on the tin rather than an attack.

Vampire attack is best known by SushiSwap against uniswap, but very recently came up against opensea.

Deliverable

Should Ardana participants expect the possibility of a vampire attack at some point? One consideration is that our code is to become open source, which allows for forking. EDIT: Morgan is telling me the DeX code may or may not become open source. Audit language here should discuss pros and cons of this (recall: forking is often but not intrinsically found in vampire attacks in the wild).

Notes

I'm expecting to overall say that this is a risk to the platform.
