[TRACKING] Sommelier is broken (window management issues) #73

Tracking issue for Sommelier window management issues. Please do not open other issues for these bugs, we know about them. The long term plan is to move away from Sommelier, and the intent right now is that fullscreen games work, nothing more.

Popup menu placement / autoclosing issues
Clipboard is broken
No system tray icons
DPI issues

Note a dupe but related: #8 (I'm not sure we want Sommelier for Wayland passthrough in its current state, even if we did enable it).

I got steam working on box wine wow64 and it seems like games work the best with emulate a virtual desktop enabled but there’s some scaling issues an old version of krun filled the screen too much and muvm doesn’t fill it all the way 6CD0E88B-36B3-47E2-9DA7-A113B16B1127

I’ve reproduced that you need a working wineprefix from an x86 machine for steam to work with box wine wow64. Also 2560x1600 for the virtual desktop fills the screen but then the games don’t scale right

Please don't add off-topic comments. We know it's dodgy, and this has little to do with Wine.

Does this relate to scaling issues under gnome? This would be the DPI issue you mention?
