So - This is a significant change that I don't expect to be merged immediately and can't properly test everything myself to make sure nothing broke.

Could you do this without nixfmt? It's difficult to review with the changed formatting.

In any case, please don't migrate NixVirt to nixfmt, I don't like its unbalanced braces.
