I think the winner's podium is not white and sky is not pink (see attached
image).  You will reach this part after finishing in top 3 for the 4 races.

If you will find a screen shot from N64 which proves that colors here are 
wrong, then

Since the color is correct, it is my mistake and you may close the bug report.

NOT a bug: the original game has the same colours. You can even try the game 
with LLE
plugins, its accurate emulation.

Hence we will not care about this....>.>
