Error on Chrome when playing a video file as a cover block. #95683

Quick summary

Error on Chrome when playing a video file as a cover block.

This causes the video to downgrade in quality and look really bad despite that there is enough bandwidth or space on the screen to show the video.

This was not happening when I built the page so it may have been an update on a software package after.

The warning description when opening the Developer Tools on Chrome is (I suppose this would be the cause):

VIDEOJS: WARN: Problem encountered with "VIDEO_NAME" Aborted early because there isn't enough bandwidth to complete the request without rebuffering. Switching to playlist "VIDEO_NAME"

Steps to reproduce

  1. go to https://breakthroughsurfschool.com/ on Chrome
  2. see that the cover video is playing with low quality on chrome
  3. open developer tools and check the warning on Console regarding VIDEOJS

What you expected to happen

The video to not downgrade in quality

What actually happened

The video downgrades in quality

📌 REPRODUCTION RESULTS – Tested on Simple – Could Not Replicate

📌 ACTIONS – Closed as could not replicate (please reopen if the issue reoccurs)

📌 Message to Author @tgfgomes The example provided plays with the same quality as the original video file in the Media Library. When I first added the same video file to my test site it did display with a degraded quality, but only for a moment and then it cleared and remained clear. I'm also not seeing any console errors on your page. Closing this issue. Feel free to open it again if you have additional context to provide.

I attached some screenshots of the page with degraded video quality and the WARNING message on the console It's a warning, not an error, and it's not a streaming issue as if you let it loop some parts keep on getting degraded quality.

Chrome version 130.0.6723.60 on MacOs

Thank you @tgfgomes for the screen shots showing the console errors. I was able to access them through that link. Please make sure to keep that link active for now and we'll get our developers to take a closer look.
