Abstract

Funding support to attend the upcoming Centre Point meeting in Dubai.

Proposal Information

Description

As Chief Metaverse & Innovation Officer at *Cidade Matarazzo, I would like to attend the next Centre Point meeting to deepen the conversation between our project and the Neo ecosystem. Following my initial discussions with the COZ team, I became highly interested in the opportunity to integrate Neo’s technology— such as, NFI (Non-Fungible ITEM)*—into Cidade Matarazzo’s already robust architecture for blending physical and digital experiences.

My presence at the event would allow me to explore and structure high-impact collaborations with builders in the ecosystem, while helping Neo extend its reach into sophisticated real-world applications.

Motivation

Cidade Matarazzo is a one-of-a-kind urban complex that merges art, culture, sustainability, and technology in a meaningful way. The Neo ecosystem offers a unique opportunity to enhance our vision of *deep physical-digital interaction, particularly through tokenized rewards, NFI-based activations, and *smart engagement layers across physical infrastructure.

Through in-person discussions with COZ and other community members at Centre Point, I hope to explore how we can structure and scale these integrations in ways that benefit both sides. Real-world, high-volume, user-facing projects like Cidade Matarazzo are essential to showcasing the full potential of Neo’s technology stack in live environments.

My main objectives for attending Centre Point are:

Alessandro Heringer Milagres: Graduated in Mathematics and Physics from UFMG and postgraduate in Business Management and Project Management, Master in Distributed Systems from UFMG and PhD in Design Thinking from MIT Boston. He began his career in 1990 as a support analyst, making a career in Brazil in innovation projects; worked as a project manager in Argentina and Chile; in 2002, he helped structure the Unitech branch, now Capgemini, in BH, being Contract Manager until 2008; structured the business area of ​​SysMap Solutions in 2008 and, from 2011, assumed the position of executive of the Brazilian multinational Ci&T, being responsible for fostering business in Brazil and abroad; executive architect Latam at Google; spent 3 years in China as COO of the multinational SIGGA and CTO and collaborator at JFOX and currently Chief Metaverse & Innovation Officer in Cidade Matarazzo creating a new and fantastic digital universe.

I’m deeply passionate about redefining how we experience cities, culture, and human connection — and I believe blockchain has a pivotal role in creating immersive, trustworthy, and connected urban environments.

I'm generally in favor of seeing real-world projects joining the ecosystem. IMHO, just with this kind of project we will succeed as an industry.

However, let me ask some questions:

  1. Even though the proposer highlighted the potential of Cidade Matarazzo in the blockchain industry (and more specifically using the unique tech that Neo blockchain built over the years), I'd like to know whether such collaboration is something concrete or, at the moment, just some vague discussion? My question is more: is there real interest between the parties to do something?

  2. Do you plan to do a presentation at the Centre Point event?

  3. Besides potentially using NFI tech, using Neo Blockchain, Cidade Matarazzo has any other interest in the broad Neo community to use their tools/products? E.g., NeoFS, and others.

  1. Besides potentially using NFI tech, using Neo Blockchain, Cidade Matarazzo has any other interest in the broad Neo community to use their tools/products? E.g., NeoFS, and others.
    • We are interested in learning about other projects, as this may be easier to implement than a project started from scratch.

Would be nice to implement gift cards through NFI if possible to go with loyalty and rewards. Maybe users can get discounts or rewards throughout the whole complex if they use the nfi ring and pay with gas or other tokens too 🤔
