Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.open tv-maxe
2.double-click a tv-programe (acasă, hbo, hbo comedy, antena 1 etc.)
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The screen is black. Looks like the channel works, the timer show the seconds
since the program started. There is no sound and no image.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
tv maxe 0.08, linux-kde

Please provide any additional information below.
Tv maxe used to work, until a few weeks ago
A few channels do work, but 90% of them don't.
There is no error message.
I tried switching to all the internal players possible (vlc, mplayer,
gstreamer) with the same result.

You only don't get any image, or this applies to the sound, too?

Also did you restarted the application after changing the internal player?

This looks strange. Can you tell more about your system, what distribution are
you using, etc? Running 'sp-sc' or 'sp-sc-auth' shows any error?

Can you confirm that Discovery Channel works? Seems that most of the channels
are offline, which is the reason why you can't play them.

The fact that TV-Maxe shows a black screen and starts the timer is still a bug,
tought...

I am sorry for not answering your question right away. I had no connection for
the last day.
Discovery Channel does work.

P.s. : Now all the channels work, i just noticed. Thanks for your help.
You've got a great program there, hope you will keep it running, cause it's one
of the main reasons i like linux a lot.

Yes, those channels just went down, now most of them are working. I'm not the
one who broadcast this channels over the web, so unfortunately I can't do many
things if they stop working. Anyway, I'm glad you like it :)

depending on the video card you might want to resize the window, or right-click
inside it in case the screen is black but you can hear the sound.
