By default Battlescribe saves catalogues as compressed binary files with the extension .catz , but to gain the benefits of using github you should use the 'Save as..' option to choose to save to a .cat file. (I think Battlescribe remembers which format you have chosen after that).
This is a text format that github can show you the different changes from previous versions.
If you see previous versions here you see that I managed to do this with all catalogues and the game system file. It is easily rectified though.

only thing i could find to message u. hey man.
How can we add a Gargantuan option to the main file for choices? is there an easy way to import a full "SHARED" list of rules or profiles into another project? what is your next/current faction you are working on, i dont want to overlap/waste time. talk to you later Date: Tue, 9 Sep 2014 11:19:36 -0700 From: notifications@github.com To: warmahordes@noreply.github.com CC: deltao@msn.com Subject: Re: [warmahordes] Save catalogues as .cat file, not .catz (#17)

Colossal/Gargantuan: We can add it to the game system file. I was considering doing it, but when I added my first Colossal as a Warjack it covered what was needed for list building purposes. The difference between Colossals and Warjacks in the profile department is the damage grids, which isn't added in for 'Jacks, and I don't think is needed. Is there anything you need for a Gargantuan that is not covered by a Warbeast?
I haven't explored it fully, but at the moment I don't know of any other way than opening up 2 Catalogue Editors and copying from one and pasting into the other. I'm considering other options as I'm more or less ready to get the Mercenaries over into the other catalogues.
My next project will be Trollbloods. I have ordered the Minions book so that might come further down the line.
Thanks for the reply!
I also used the warjack choice for stats and such. I think you are correct in thinking only difference is the life spiral.
Ill start legion of everbright next

First off name the catalogue to show how far it's been updated: https://github.com/BSData/bsdata/wiki/Catalogue-Naming-Convention
Then do the following: https://help.github.com/articles/creating-releases
Hope that helps, if not I can do it and document it.
Thanks for the help.
I just published a release but it pushed a really old ver of circle of orboros that i uploaded, why is that? Github is showing the new one

It appears to me to be the most recent one now, but haven't downloaded and looked into it closely. But it's version 3 of the file.
It takes a little while before things are published to appspot, the old one was probably one that followed on my previous release.
Under master on github it is up to date. The file from appspot is not. It doesn't make sense because i published a new one with tag v.4

When I view the source here on github I see it as having version 3, and having Domination and Gargantuans entries. On Appspot I see the same version and entries when I download the repository and check it in the catalogue editor.
Note that on Appspot it is published in the .catz format automatically. That threw me at least when I had managed to save them as .catz and was trying to revert them.
Ken, thanks for your time in this.
I think its my battle scribe link or app. Gonna mess with it here in a min.
