this pull request adds a new command line option "--moref" that allows for selecting virtual machines by their Managed Object Reference name (e.g. "vm-193").

Can you explain it? What is the benefit?

We have an environment where the VMware inventory is occasionally imported into our monitoring system, but not on a daily basis, and VMware administrators like to rename VMs which then breaks the monitoring.
