@pau33 Please checkout the existing sensors:
Is this helpful for you? If not, please give an example (screenshots or something and a diag file).
Hhm, I use then sensor sensor.luxtronik_status_line_1 already (binary_sensor.luxtronik_defrost_valve is in principle the same information). There you can see the actual status. The last one (sensor.luxtronik*_status_time attribute) I do not know and I can not imagine how this will be calculated correctly when defrost will not start soon.
What I mean ist this:
From that and it's counting up or down one can see at a glance (maybe in conjunction with the humidity), whether defrosting will be done in the the next time or periodically.
@pau33 Please provide a diag file (see readme howto) and the information which value "Abtaubedarf" has at the export time. Also tell me which heatpump manufacturer, model and firmware version do you have. My heatpump doesn't have this value and I can't add it without your support.
Thank You, I will provide you with the diag file next week, when I am at home again. The heatpump as an alpha innotec LWDV91 (LD9V in the WebView). FW 3.88.0
FW 3.88.0
Which revision? The revision ist important.
Sorry, Revision ist 9015.
The full details:
I looked into the config.json, but unfortunately could not find the signal "Defrost Demand" or a corresponding one. Maybe you have more information.
DtaGui (and the Webinterface) know the that signal, it seems to be somewhere.

@pau33 What was the value of "Abtaubedarf" at the time you created the diag file?
Sorry for the late response, I am quite busy at the moment.
The Diag File, downloaded from HA: config_entry-luxtronik2.json
The corresponding value of "Abtaubedarf" at this moment was 8.0%
Would it be possible, to add a sensor for defrost demand . It is available in the Luxtronic web server interface (in german "Abtaubedarf"), and also by datagui ("Defrost Demand"). This would be a very useful information for air based heatpumps.
Many thanks in advance.
