Changes:

Separate the salvage and collected counter to avoid conflicts in the future (original PR)
Add an option to disable the reset salvage essence count on UI close behaviour (new)
Clean up unused method return from f6d5960707a82aaa3d936ece734ba457a60b5856 (new)

Other changes in the original PR were already implemented in earlier commits.
