@Utidon had the great idea of creating a kind of checklist for newcomers to the community. It would include a series of milestones with specific sub-tasks. Each milestone would have a focus, like introducing yourself and getting set up, participating in community events, your first contribution, etc. He created a first draft and we chatted a bit about it.
I think the content is a great addition to our existing contribute page, which could be a lot better. The page currently lists a bunch of activities, but it's not super structured or goal-oriented. We could flesh out these milestones further and put them on the website. Then the PDF could be a much shorter single-page document, maybe with a more playful design, that you could put up at your desk and tick things off as you go.
