A further idea which could be a stepping stone solution: Use an Earth Engine slider (documentation) to present difference between the historical and contemporary maps. Helpful for identifying where conversion or change has occurred. For users of GEM Desktop it would also be a useful way of assessing that all important tide difference between the HOT and LOT images.
Here are a couple of examples: https://bullocke.users.earthengine.app/view/landsat-slider https://herethere.users.earthengine.app/view/madagascar-mangroves
And here's a third example that compares mangrove characteristics with hurricane impact (as per my email): https://davidlagomasino.users.earthengine.app/view/hurricaneirmamangroves
The idea of showing maps of where conversion (e.g. from OCM2 to EB) is happening was particularly interesting for Awa, she would like to see this too - how easy is this? I guess a lot of thought would have to go into where the maps are presented
