Settings reset on startup

When the app is restarted, the setting for tabs vs spaces reset to soft tabs rather than my preferred hard tabs at 4 spaces. While this is only a minor annoyance, would be greatly appreciated for the fix.

My current fix is to simply open up preferences and click submit and everything is back to normal
