Add write API #8

Hey all,

I noticed that you didn't have a write API setup for this gem. We're migrating some stuff over to your system and I thought I'd extend this gem so that no one else has to do this work to use your write API. Let me know if you have any feedback, or if I need to do anything to get this merged.
