Proposed Structure of CABLE 3 #217

HaC, intended as the working version of CABLE to be imported into JaC is the first version of CABLE that has ever been callable on the first timestep on the radiation pathway. The radiation and albedo code was untangled and here is revised. Also significantly revised is the move towards eliminating the use of cable% types and USEing data modules throughout the code. This has been done on the radiation pathway (in HaC)

UM/ has been replaced by coupled.

core/ has been replaced by science/. Files such as cable_albedo.F90 has been broken into seperate files for readability and technical reasons.

offline/ has not changed at all from the trunk as it does not exist in HaC.

This is exactly the code running in HaC.

HOWEVER, see comments 6,7 and 8. Linked therein are branches in which there are not even file changes. In this branch above, files have been split up.

There are several directories in which code is tarred and zipped.

This was just a stepping stone to removing them as JaC will in the first instance only be a basic, physical model.

Dangling bits of unused and unusable code have no place in it and will be filtered out as we go

Note: Files prefixed with "cbl_" are more or less revised. These are limited to the files called on the UM/JULES radiation pathway. There are also files, modules that will disappear as they are temporary.

This is too big a jump all at once to expect the community to digest - so start with a smaller change - just split up the directories and modify the buil script accordingly

This Ticket , and the branch linked is ....demostrative. The model doesn't actually build/run. See #224 for a revised branch of this.
