To test, I added a Shelf number to : https://sandbox-cds-ils.web.cern.ch/backoffice/items/nrv6q-1dr72 (selection in the list) but the Call number disappeared without me deleting it; and I do not see it in the form anymore. It looks like that now (missing Call number):
The rest looks fine!
And Call number on the items is mandatory (and should not be deletable).

The Call number has to be manually filled in the form (if you remember my demonstration from the last meeting - but only on sandbox - on production nothing will be lost and it will be propagated automatically by us.
I will create a separate issue to prevent the call number from deletion to be addressed in the future deployments. Would it be acceptable to temporarily keep it as it is? (the apprentices would have to be instructed not to delete the call number)
