Cannot compile on Linux gcc 4.8.1 #221

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. ./configure
2. make

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the compilation process to finish without error.
But here are the error messages:

glog 0.3.3
gcc: (Ubuntu 4.8.1-2ubuntu1~12.04) 4.8.1

GNU/Linux
