I pushed some textures for some of the props using the projection method with commit c8dbc5a37e2f26f778dbce4718879214601a8bec.
All of them could be pushed a bit, as they the textures are just mapped to the diffuse and I didn't really tweak the renderman shaders at all, but at the moment we have textures for the: bed, bookshelf, desk, and the locker.
Here's a quick render of the bookshelf with a renderman ENV light:
@kennyw1019 feel free to change the locker material as you see fit, this is a placeholder for now. @Hermittamer the bedframe might benefit from UV's as opposed to projection since nail holes and more control over the grain on the planks would be nice. I just posted these to get the ball rolling.
Ah, forgot to put this here: http://wiki.bk.tudelft.nl/toi-pedia/Texture_positioning_-_Projection_mapping.
Great resource for learning to use projections ^^
All props need textures. Let's avoid anything other than automated UV mapping.
Best course of action is probably to apply the textures as projections avoiding UV mapping entirely, an alternative would be to project-paint them as UV's in mudbox.
