Research Tech Stack Options for our App

As developers, we want to take some time to scope out and use the most effective data visualization library, framework, or tool for the purposes of the statistics and information we calculate. Furthermore, we also want to find an effective way to actually write an app that a user can interact with to provide information and get insights on their productivity.

This part involves researching different tools in the following ways:

• Read through the most commonly used languages/frameworks to build apps and consider: do we want to try and build a cross-platform app? Or just one native to either iOS or Android? Cross-platform frameworks are a bit different
• Native iOS development can only be done if you have a mac!
• Watch a tutorial and see what setup code looks like and what the code is like to add basic elements to a screen like a button, a text field, a scrolling view, etc.
• Run some sample code or try writing a bit of your own! Big libraries and languages will provide their own for sure and others may have 3rd party GitHub repositories you can try running. Even better... try playing around with it a bit on your own! You'd be surprised at how intuitive app dev is

• Flutter (a cross-platform app dev framework)
• Android (native development) intro tutorial straight from the devs!
• Building your first iOS application with Swift (again keep in mind this can only be done if you have a mac!)
