The old spatial CIMIS process included a zipcode processing methodology. This was a spatial-CIMIS server process that calculated zipcode summaries for each day, and also maintains a special database of just the zipcode data.

Zipcode summaries are no longer supported with the new system. We need to decide on how we want to continue processing zipcode data, for the short term.

zipcode processing, maintaining the current methodology has been moved to the g.cimis-dwr extension package. After processing of the lower resolution imagery, the zipcodes are calculated in the current manner.
