Multiple email accounts associated with gerrit

I keep receiving this message, in a repo where they have recently migrated to 
use github to authorize the gerrit review process. Unfortunately this situation 
does not allow me to re-access my gerrit account to delete the problematic 
email from it:

You have multiple Gerrit accounts that use email addresses that match those 
registered with you GitHub account ( something@gmail.com ). Only one account 
can be migrated to use GitHub/OAuth. Please ensure that only the account you 
want to migrate has an email address that matches one of those register with 
your GitHub account.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create two different gerrit accounts with an email address
2. Migrate repo authorization process from google to github
3. Try to migrate the user with old gerrit account with github

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
