Hi.

The tilde is rotated a little counterclockwise. I think it should be balanced horizontally.

Hi Charlie,

in the spirit of making a sans companion to Garamond, I closely followed the tilde shape from EB Garamond. Admittedly, I don't like it all that much either. I'm thinking of flattening it out.

Cheers, Christian

Hi.

Yes, we have the style issue, but even in Garamond, the non-strictly horizontal positioning of the tilde seems a bit odd to a native speaker of a language that uses this diacritic a lot (Portuguese, in my case) — the tilde tends to look like an acute accent. I think this oddity is the same as if we saw this "Garramond-style" inclination also in the circumflex accent, for example.

As it happens, I've changed the tildes in the meantime... Do you like them better now?
