Discussion on additional variables #52

Lines 252-255- The results of the models that included the other variables need to be included in the manuscript/ appendix and discussed in more detail. Why were they not included? What analysis was done to rule out which parameters to include and which not to include. What were the performances of these models? Did the authors try to include the 5 "outlier" beaches in the model and include attributes such as breakwater distance etc to see how that affected the performance of the model? It seems as though the authors may have removed these beaches prematurely from the model or if they did remove them because they affected the model performance , this needs to be better justified and explained in the methods section.

This is similar to #47 so am marking as a "duplicate". Let's create another model using additional covariates; possibly including in the supplementary materials.
