Hey Chris, Love the new setup. I know it's not directly related; but I was wondering if you could clarify a detail about the Windows vm you demoed. Did you pass through the entire pcie group with your nvme/ssd and its controller. Or did you pass through a lvm physical volume or partition?
Love it. Been running hyprland for a few months now & honestly it's hard to go back to x11 now.
What font is needed for the icons?
@Reya-Covey I passed through the Nvidia 2060, SSD, and PCI USB Card. This gives pretty much a native experience with only the CPU being virtualized.
@LinuxGamer I generally use noto-fonts-emoji on every build and 3 nerd fonts I enjoy: FiraCoda, Caskaydia Cove, and Meslo Nerd Fonts.

Hmm, I have noto-fonts-emoji installed and Waybar still has the weird icons (the ones you get when no icons are found, the rectngle). Is there a way to refresh Hyprland?
when are go to make a video about debian yoru. like a update
@ChrisTitusTech , I agree with @Skellington . I would love a breakdown of the new pass-through setup as well. Barring a video, even just an article would be really helpful. I know you have a busy upload calendar though. So please don't feel rushed.
Download nerd fonts here: https://www.nerdfonts.com/ and to refresh hyprland just type hyprctl reload

just a quick question, when I open a new window it automatically opens on the left side of the screen, and keeps tiling there. Is there a way to let the windows spawn on the right side of the screen?
Have your mouse on the right part of the screen.

yea I realised that right after posting the comment, but now something that I haven't been able to find out, how could I make it so that it doesn't automatically switch between windows when my mouse is on the other windows, so that I would need to click on a window to focus on it? instead of it being done automatically. Sorry for the dumb questions titus have a great day

Thanks that worked :)
how do you use this with support for discord full screen sharing because xorg has it but wayland its broken and i want to use armcord or normal discord not any other discord client on arch
This was a really cool video. It would be awesome to see a video on how you did the PCIE passthrough. I read the comment above about how you set that up, but it would still be awesome to see how to set that up, as I'm someone that wants to take the full dive into Linux, however there are some games I play that require windows and don't play well with proton at the moment.
Hey, you should update the yay install command to match the updated one on github
Hello if anyone is interested to try out Hyprland without setting up everything by yourself I have made an auto installation script for Arch linux: https://github.com/raminsamadi123/hyprinstall/
do you think it will take off on Debian 11 with a video card from nvidia or without a chance?
@MitaiDart my auto installation script should work on Nvidia graphic cards since I have a Nvidia GPU. I do not know if it will work with Debian though since most of their packages are outdated and not as "bleeding-edge" as Arch.

thank you for your answer, you're right about Debian, maybe it's worth trying Fedora
Hey Chris! I was taking a look at the GPU Passthrough to try to make a VM for myself, however, I quickly stumbled upon needing to have 2 GPUs to do this kind of work.
I just wanted to know if it would be possible to do the same by using only one GPU (since I only have one, an RTX 2060 super) or at least achieve good results with it.
Any progress with the keybinding? I'm using no-systemd with Artix and I'm not finding anything useful to handle sound/backlight without doing on terminal ;/
Even the shutdown/suspension work properly without using the terminal.
Besides all this problem, is one the best "time vs config" WM that I have used
Hi Chris, I have any problem with your config. When i change my kb_layout to fr, i can't switch my workspace why ? Please help me. Thank you all
Hey Chris, loved the walthrough, installed hyprland and loving at till now. I was wondering if you'll get around to making a video on the SSD based VM you demoed, it looked really interesting but unfortunately is harder to setup than it looks.
Hi Chris, I love your videos and this one without exception. I am using Hyprland running on AcroLinux. I really like it myself. I would love to see a walk through on how you did all this! Looks amazing! Specially how you did The Windows 11 VM. How did you do it? It looks so awesome!
I think you should add alacritty Website: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Alacritty
is autologin possible in hyprland such as kde or gnome etc?
Is it possible to make another version for debian?
Loving all the project ,3
This is what got me to try arch as my first distro. You should revisit this topic now that hyprland is included/supported with the archinstaller.
hey, how did you write the script to launch the vm, i would love to know how this done, if thats ok
