Greetings, I went to downloads to get the updated Toolbox. After D/L & extracting the file(s) I noticed the date of CTT-Windows Utulity.exe was 2022-08-19. The last file I D/L date was 2022-08-06. I havn't had a chance yet to give it a test & anxious to do so. I absolutely LOVE this utility and it gives me an opening to discuss Chris Titus with client(s). I have always given credit where credit is due & as such encourage everyone I work to checkout christitus.com, sign up & follow Youtube, etc. Anyway, let me know if I have the updated Toolbox of diirect me where to D/L. Is it necessary to disable Ransomware Protection or some other change when using this? When I run this in PS as Admin, I get lots of errors about "WARNING: Unable to set [XxxxXxxx] due to unhandled exception ... WARNING: [XxxxXxxx] cannot be configured due to the following error: Access is denied". Also, it puts BACK Search and Widgets in my Taskbar that I have previously disabled.

Greeting. This is an awesome project. I have a small request, can you add an additional setting for the Installation? Like... I don't want to install my app in OS disk driver. Instead, I always install a game or app in D, E, or another disk that is not OS.

Hi Chris, I've been using your tool ever since you started developing it and have found it to be one of the most useful tools for Windows I've ever used. It runs on every machine I've used it on except for a Lenovo T450S running Win10 pro version 22H2. When I launch it on this particular machine the tool comes up as a blank screen. Checked for OS corruption etc. to no avail. I even used the version your selling on your site with the same results. I'm wondering if you could provide any insight on why this is happening.

Since the last update, I can no longer use the free version of the software on my PC. I keep receiving a list of errors highlighted in yellow, running the default PC Tweaks. I have the default recommended settings for Windows Update, but it keeps updating and causing issues. I suspect that the large update might be the root of the problem. The main issue is that certain games won't open. I've tried restoring my PC several times, but during two of the attempts, I couldn't select any options in the tweaks section of the tool. I use this tool almost every day to clean my PC, and I really enjoy it. I'm just waiting for the issues to be fixed, so I can start using it again. I'm not very technical, so I don't know if anything has been fixed by reading this forum. I've been checking Chris's homepage for updates, hoping for some news.

Hey Chris! I have been using your Utility since it was the windows deblaod script and i love it. I have never had issues with it before until the latest update. I use the paid version of Bitdefender and i have not had any issued prior, but with the latest version, i can not use the WinUtil to install apps with winget anymore. I keep gettis message whenever i try "PowerShell tried to load a malicious resource detected as Heur.BZC.ZFV.Boxter.341.DAA9C5AE and was blocked. Your device is safe." I am not sure if i am able to allow this through Bitdefender but i have not found a way yet. Can you give me any guidence here?

I had to create an exception in Windows Virus / Threat protection for the winutil.exe app (regardless of location stored). I also renamed all the .exe's to .exx so that I could copy to my other system til I could create exceptions on those also... maybe that will help others get through the "trojan" popups...?

Still working on revamping a few things on the script, but I do anticipate virus scanners to flag it as a virus since it modifies system files.

Hello. I have issue with function this utility, I've changed my Temp Location to created RAMDisk (6GB). When trying to install or upgrade apps via this Utility Microsoft Family Features window shows up and needs permission from adult. creating system restore point is taking excessively longer then it usually does when trying to install tweaks unsure what may be causing this. wish it was possible to deselect restore point creation.

Hi Chris, great work with this utility. You mentioned in one of your YouTube videos that one can use it on Windows Servers as well, it's works however there is a problem after installing Windows Terminal, it's doesn't work and displays a message saying "this app can't run, reinstall using the original installer or contact your administrator" this happened while attempting this on windows server 22

I love the utility; I paid for the .exe version to support it. My one big gripe is the black text on a dark gray background... it's unreadable! I know you love your dark mode, but a high contrast mode for those of us with aging eyesight would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings, Program! This is a great contribution to the community. Thank you, and to the other contributors for the excellent work. I use this utility on just about every Windows install. The only additional tool that I use is Tron Script (also suggested by you). Has anyone else ever mentioned adding Tron to this utility? I think it would be a valuable addition.

I paid for the .exe version to support it but can’t undone changes. As I use two monitors (1440p + 2160p) I have trouble to bring back ‘Show more options’ context menu. Only when my 4K monitor is in pivot mode only then I can reach to see Properties of file/icon/folder etc. because classic right-click menu becomes too long for 1440p monitor. Watching other YouTube vids didn’t help to find a registry-hack how to undo this. Basically to enable ‘Show More Options’ I need to delete existed registry entry HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\InprocServer32. But this registry entry doesn’t exist! By checking box ‘Set Classic Right-Click Menu’ then clicking on ‘Undo Selected Tweaks’ and restarting pc, I thought that this will bring ‘Show more options’ back context menu back, but it doesn’t work. So, what to do now and how to contact Chris Titus?

Is there a way to exclude apps from the update list? I have some apps I want the older versions of, but the tool just updated everything. Is there an exclusion list? or a command to cancel the update for the curring app?
