8 months ago This is already fixed in the branch Test-2023-12-20 by commit: https://github.com/ChrisTitusTech/winutil/commit/886cbc8a8d6f8aa47206bf237b7701affaa3c57b you will just have to wait until Chris decides to merge that branch with the main.

You are talking about the hash mismatch, But it by itself means nothing, Is just a warning, does not do anything, Your real issue here is the "Invoke-WPFMicroWin: Unexpected error", But I'm sorry I cannot help you there.
You can try the test branch by running:
irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ChrisTitusTech/winutil/Test-2023-12-20/winutil.ps1 | iexBut I don't know if your error was already fixed in there.

Estás hablando de la falta de coincidencia de hash, pero por sí solo no significa nada, es solo una advertencia, no hace nada. Tu verdadero problema aquí es el "Invoke-WPFMicroWin: error inesperado", pero lamento no poder ayudarte. .

Thanks for the prompt response. The problem is that when installing the already modified iso, no changes are reflected... It does not eliminate the bloat or edge or defend as it should, nor is there a bypass Of counts. What could it be?

8 months ago This seems to be fixed already in a Pull Request: https://github.com/ChrisTitusTech/winutil/pull/1313. You could try to run his version by:
irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CodingWonders/winutil/CW-MicroWin-AppxFix/winutil.ps1 | iexBut you have to build the iso again.

I tested in english iso, windows 11 23h2 English windows and works great. Yes, that could be the issue. I saw other people reporting the other ISOs from different sources other than microsoft website can not work. Download from https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 and download the ISO from there, Not the media creation tool. that could be an issue as well.

Yes, that could be the issue. I saw other people reporting the other ISOs from different sources other than microsoft website can not work. Download from https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 and download the ISO from there, Not the media creation tool. that could be an issue as well.

Yes, that could be the issue. I saw other people reporting the other ISOs from different sources other than microsoft website can not work. Download from https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 and download the ISO from there, Not the media creation tool. that could be an issue as well.

8 months ago Maybe the issue is the language of the operational system itself, not the ISO. Maybe the accents in it generate the error and the powershell script is not used to that. That should NOT be a problem, Since the script is in UTF-8.
If you used the script I said, and still getting the error, I cannot help you more there. For me it works flawlessly, And Chris already tested it many times in his machine. We never got this error, So we would need some powershell developer that does not use English, or maybe it is spanish the problem.
If I got the time I can try run it in a Mexican ISO in Virtualbox to try to see if I got your error.

Yeah, But I don't know if the problem is because is not english or because is spanish, Or because the language have accents, or there is some other country code or language coding that conflicts with the power shell script.
Maybe @KonTy or @CodingWonders can take a look at this. I'm still running the script in Virtualbox on a Spanish/Mexican ISO to see if the error generates, But this will take forever.

También lo hice con el último MX español Iso 23h2 descargado de uupdump en su última compilación. Y también funciona. Por lo cual. En definitiva creo que el problema es que desde dónde se realiza el proceso. Debe estar en inglés. . Al menos eso funcionó. Y no dio ningún error en la consola. Ahora necesitamos instalar la iso para ver si los cambios se aplicaron correctamente
Sí, pero no sé si el problema es porque no es inglés o porque es español, o porque el idioma tiene acentos, o hay algún otro código de país o código de idioma que entra en conflicto con el script de Power Shell.
Tal vez@KonTyo@CodingWondersPuedes echarle un vistazo a esto. Todavía estoy ejecutando el script en Virtualbox en una ISO española/mexicana para ver si se genera el error, pero esto tardará una eternidad.
At least for me it worked this way. I reinstalled the system several times, always in Spanish. And it always failed. Now that I installed the s.o. in English. It didn't crash anymore even when modifying an iso in Spanish from uupdump worked correctly. For now I am satisfied

I would guess the problem is because of the accents, It should give the same error in Brazilian Portuguese as well. But for me that's it, I'm done with this testing, took me hours to do.

Yes, I meant the ISO installed in the O.S, not the ISO that is being extracted/converted.

Supongo que el problema se debe a los acentos. También debería dar el mismo error en portugués brasileño. Pero para mí eso es todo, ya terminé con esta prueba, me tomó horas hacerla.

Now, I guess that DISM commands are failing on non-English installations of Windows because we're not passing the /English flag.
DISM uses the system language by default, which can prevent functions from working correctly. By passing this flag we force DISM to use English.
Also, as a side note, I think we can also replace the DISM commands with cmdlets from the Dism module, since they're faster and provide better integration with PowerShell.

I used paid windows toolbox ctt to launch the script. It also works correctly. I just wanted to let you know.

@CodingWonders hey thank you for digging in. Do you have any data on that? My experience is that all those cmdlets like Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage cmdlet are part of the DISM module and call dism.exe under the hood. And they are actually slower since you are going through powershell layers before they get to dism.exe. But that's just my experience, so if you have data on the above could you please share it maybe my experiments were wrong and I'm mistaken?

8 months ago I would guess the problem is because of the accents, It should give the same error in Brazilian Portuguese as well. But for me that's it, I'm done with this testing, took me hours to do.
@juliocoliveira I wonder if we need to escape those names of something like that, btw I love the enthusiasm and thank you for digging in and spending time on this. I think it is important to make this work for everyone. We have some cool plans for microwin but before we start spending more time on it, it would be great to fix it :)

The English-only OS issue is now fixed - I replaced all entries of dism /image with dism /English /image. MicroWin processing should now work correctly on non-English hosts.
This is still in my fork though.
