Add bigger zipper bags for waterproofing electronics #52154

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

There is currently no practical way to protect most electronics from the water. The most notorious case is the E-ink tablet reader, but it applies to many other items as well. Existing waterproof containers either have a maximum allowed length that's far too short (condoms, zipper bags, every type of bottle and canteen), or they're enormous and impractical to carry around (60L tanks, both types of steel drum). This is both unrealistic and annoying.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add some bigger zipper bags. Have them spawn in kitchens, maybe replace plastic bags as containers for certain items. Just grabbing a big ziplock is how people generally deal with this problem on short notice in real life, and it would be easy to implement.

Describe alternatives you've considered

We discussed this on the Discord, and there were a number of good suggestions. Ideally I think all of these should be implemented eventually, but you have to pick your battles.

Arguably you could/should also implement a more involved system of waterproofing, with different tiers of waterproofing and corresponding chances of damage over time. After all, a ziplock bag is fine for protecting a tablet from rain or a short dunk, but you wouldn't trust it to hold up while scuba diving. Conversely, most electronics might survive a quick dunk even if they aren't waterproofed at all. However, that would be a lot of work considering how underdeveloped the water mechanics are at the moment. Currently, pretty much the only reasons you end up in the water are either to swim a short distance, or by accident, e.g. you got punted by a hulk. The binary protected/broken mechanic models that sort of thing just fine.

Should allow people to vaccuum seal items with the Foodsaver that appears in the game.

Is anyone working on adding these bags? If not I'll do so and add them to malls, supermarkets and similar. They're not uncommon IRL (I just checked online stores) so it fits I think.

Not that I'm aware of. Go nuts.

e: personally I would also add them to houses, but maybe that's just me assuming everyone uses them because I do
