Hi @mhwalsh, @jgkite looks super busy, so I added the event. As far as I know, a group picture can be added there, but unfortunately, I'm not sure how to do. Currently, your face is on the site since web app automatically picks the picture from gravatar. I will figure out or Jamie may have chance to change it.
@mhwalsh All of the organizer images are Gravatars. If you wish to have a group organizer, please set up a gravatar and let us know which email address is attached to it. Thanks
I'm going to close this issue since the workshop's over. MN team, if you want to add or change something http://clojurebridge.github.io/community-docs/2015/09/11/minneapolis-mn-usa.html, make a pull request.
Event title
ClojureBridge MN - Fall 2015
Location
Locale: MN Venue: Vidku 251 N 1st Ave Suite 500 Minneapolis, MN 55401
Description
In Track 1, we'll take you through building a sample app using Clojure. In Track 2, we'll quickly cover basic syntax and data structures before taking a deep dive into more advanced topics.
We'll meet up Friday night to install all of the software you need, and then spend Saturday learning and writing code.
Each participant needs to bring her or his own computer with fairly recent Mac, Linux or Windows installation. If you have questions about your hardware, email one of the organizers before the event!
When you RSVP you'll be asked a few questions about your operating system, level and type of programming experience.
Sometimes people ask if the Friday night Installfest is mandatory, and yes, it is! It's a crucial part of the weekend, even if you’ve already gone through the instructions independently. There are a ton of moving parts when setting up a development environment, and the reason that we’re able to get through the curriculum on Saturday is that every single student has had their dev environment checked and has been awarded a sticker for their successes.
If you have questions or ideas for us, the best way to get in touch is to email or tweet at the organizers.
Who Should Attend? ClojureBridge is open to women and all trans*, genderqueer, and gender non-conforming people.
Additional Info
We'll have dinner and beverages on Friday evening, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. If you have any dietary restrictions, please note these when you register for the workshop.
