Invalid characters in generated items file #5

The generated Items file contains invalid characters in Item name: ". , : / - #" Should be removed or replaced with a valid character such as underscore "_"

I believe this one was removed earlier, I adjusted existing cleanup code and pushed it to both 1.1.x and 1.0.x branches.
