Wrong Featured Image Size

Hi,

Hope you’re fine today.

So after the recent theme update some pictures on my website are smaller than they should be (photo attached)

How can I fix it? Regenerate Thumbnails plugin is not a solution for me because it messes with pictures I don’t wanna change.

You just need to regenerate thumbnails. You can do that using this or any other plugin.

Hi,

Like I've mentioned in my post Regenerate Thumbnails doesn't solve the problem only makes it worse. Now I have even more ugly picture size because the ones that were perfectly cropped before now look too small. When you go to the post page the thumbnail looks great, same with slider. They only look bad on home page. Isn't there a way to just adjust feature pictures size?

@Annag92 the problem is that those pictures are smaller than 710x335, which are the dimensions we used for those images. Your images seem to have 710x244.

The pictures I added as a features are exactly 1070 x 368 all of them including those two, I've tried to delete them and add again but didn't help.

@Annag92 you will need to regenerate the thumbnails in order to make all of them the same size. So after that all your images will be like the first two, because this is the size implemented in the theme.

I figured it out and fixed the issue! I'm using a child theme and you need to add content.php from the parent theme in order to revert back to the original feature image setup...

how are you today? I've been working day and night to get all the problems fixed that occured on my oage after the latest theme update :-(. Did you already fix your picture problem?

I used the following code and put it in front of my content.php file. You'll have to exchange the part in between <?php and ?> ;-)

$layout = get_theme_mod( 'activello_sidebar_position' );

$image_size = 'activello-big';

 

if ( $layout == "full-width" ) {

  I found it last time in the github forum. Did you do the same or something else?

Hi,

I actually managed to fix this using new layout options in customize page:

Customize -> Activello Options -> Layout Options -> Blog Posts Layout Options -> Full Width Posts

But there are still some little things I still didn't fix like two arrows next to menu categories instead of one.

Previously I used this code to insert arrows next to menu items:

.navbar-nav li.menu-item-has-children{ position: relative;

}

.navbar-nav li.menu-item-has-children:after { display: inline-block; content: '\f107'; font: normal normal normal 14px/1 FontAwesome; position:absolute; top: 40%; right: 7%; }

But then support told me to use this:

.navbar-nav li.menu-item-has-children:after { display: none; }

And one set of arrows disappeared but I guess it was the wrong one because now I have those big spaces between words.

Could someone help, please?
