Please open the Anaconda Prompt and run there
conda install ipython=6 ipykernel=4
and try again.
Just tried
conda install ipython=6 ipykernel=4
and then relaunched Spyder. This didn't fix the problem.
Then please create a Python 3.6 environment, install Spyder on it and try with it.
Actual Behavior
Recently installed the latest version of Anaconda (Anaconda3-5.3.1-Windows-x86_64). I execute a program within Spyder and the "Stop current command" button then lights up red. I press the button red button and it then fades to gray. However, the process is not terminated and continues running until completion. This didn't happen in my last installation of Anaconda. Is this button broken in the current version?
Expected Behavior
In the past, pressing the "Stop current command" button stopped killed the process.
Steps to Reproduce
The button never seems to work.
