I'd imagine it'd work with other games, check for a sixense.dll
in the mod's bin folder and replace it with the custom one from here.
I feel like it isn't even working with modern SteamVR, I couldn't get it working with the Portal 2 Sixense Perceptual Pack at least, but it is possible I've not set something up correctly, or Virtual Desktop with a Quest causes a problem.
How couldn't you get it working, what happened? Also see my issue if you're having problems. You might need to use an old version of P2 depending on what it does.
Gave disabling the theater a try and it still crashes, but I'll give the older version a shot later when I can download it. Although thinking about it, it might be a tad difficult to even play the game using a Quest since I'd have to play the game in headset due to it's internal tracking. Similar story with any inside out tracked headset I suppose.
I also have a Quest, what I ended up doing is covering up the proximity sensor inside the headset with a piece of tape, and putting the headset on my desk facing towards me. You might have to put the headset on for a bit and reset the standing position to get the controllers to track right.
I've come to realize my main mistake, I installed the Sixense Perceptual Pack and not the Sixense Motionpack DLC, although that brings the problem of not actually owning the DLC due to not owning a Sixense in the first place, so that's no good.
Aha, yeah those are separate. Someone uploaded the MotionPack DLC to archive.org, that's how I got it, see if you can find that.
Before I forget to say, that works! The only problem is it crashes when I get to the end of a level but that could just be because I'm playing the game in the desktop game theatre.
I really wanted to try that old HL2 vr mod, but it's made for razer hydra's and has never been updated since to play it with modern controllers. Is it possible to use this at all with the HL2 vr mod?
